bleeps, and blunders. It is a time for spiritual growth on our journey
with the Lord.
- We invite you to come to the Sacrament at St. Joseph on Saturday
afternoons from 3:00 – 3:30 pm or by appointment.
- There is hardly ever a waiting line and the Sacrament can help you to
gain a new outlook on life, heal the past, repair the present and build
upon the future.

- Please join us for Coffee and doughnuts after each Mass on the first
Sunday of each month.
- This is a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners! Volunteers
are always welcome to help with the serving. Please contact the parish
office for more information.
- These coffees are usually sponsored by various church
committees/organizations.

- The following is a four-step process for becoming “An everyday
Evangelizer”

- Accept God’s word into your life.
- Live out God’s word in service and witness.
- Share your story of Jesus in your life with others.
- Invite others to deepen their relationship with Christ in the Christian
Community.

- Small Christian Communities are groups of persons who gather seasonally
(fall or Lent) for approximately six weeks or monthly to share faith in
a supportive environment where spiritual growth can take place.
Participants share their experiences of God working in their lives,
share their life experiences and reflect on these in the light of
scriptures and tradition.
- Small Christian Communities participate in the ministry of the church as
they pray, encourage one another and commit themselves to the lives of
loving mission or service.

- Members of the Welcoming Committee extend hospitality to new
parishioners by visiting their homes and presenting the family with
information about he parish and a gift basket

- St. Joseph Parish offers quality Religious Formation Programs for all
young people.
- The sessions begin in the fall and go through the spring following the
school year. Classes meet Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. During
the 10:30 Mass, the youth in grades 1-5 are invited to attend the
Children’s Lectionary with Deacon Bud.

- As a registered member of St. Joseph, you automatically become a member
of our Family Guild. The meetings are the first Wednesday of each month.
- At St. Joseph, both men and women are encouraged to participate. If you
have any questions, or need more information, please call the parish
office.
- Now is a great time to become involved!!

- A service and fraternal organization that is very active in our parish,
the Knights of Columbus welcome you to Amery and invite you to join
their organization. The meetings are held on the third Monday of the
month at 7:00 PM

- You may ask, “What is R.C.I.A.?”
- It is a fantastic process called:
- The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
- Which is a program designed for people seeking full communion with the
Roman Catholic Church.
- This would include converts to the faith, Catholics who may not have
been confirmed, received the Holy Eucharist or have never been baptized.
- Call Deacon Bud or Fr. John Drummy for more information.

- The Sacrament of the Sick can be a time of healing in your life. We
realize that many folks can’t come to church and desire a pastoral visit
in the home. The Parish Priest, Parish Deacon and Eucharist Ministers
often visit homes and the hospital. First Friday visits are a tradition
with the anointing of the sick as part of the service. Please call the
parish office if you desire a visit.

- The first Thursday and Friday of the month is when Masses are offered at
our two nursing homes. Communal anointing is offered at this time.

- Music is an important part of our worship at St. Joseph. We are proud of
our music ministries and we invite you to join our parish choir.
- Contact the parish office for more information on joining the choir.

- We have an extensive religious library at St. Joseph for your personal
enrichment. There are also numerous video tapes on a variety of
religious themes and subjects. Each weekend and on other special
occasions the Mass at St. Joseph is videotaped for Cable TV for
shut-ins, hospitals and nursing homes. Anyone with cable TV can see
these Masses on Channel 26 on Tuesday at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
- Stop in and look over what we have. Religious items may be purchased or
ordered for your needs.

- At St. Joseph, we have a prayer line to pray for individual needs and
requests.
- If you have someone whom you would like the prayer line to pray for,
whether it be for recovery of health, marriage, emotional or personal,
all you have to do is call St. Joseph at 268-7717 or Deacon Bud at
857-5649.
- If you would like to join the prayer line, please call the parish
office. We would be glad to have your help.
